Chapel of the Virgin Mary
Exactly at this place two girls were buried in the 14th century. They were the daughters of John, the Knight Of Craeywinkel. The burial had to halt here because of a heavy storm and subsequently could not pursue its way because the coffins seemed to lay anchored in the ground. In a dream the knight was given the message to build a chapel on that spot in honor of Our Lady Mary.
To this day, the chapel, which was rebuilt in the 19th century, contains the tomb of the two girls and the statue of the Virgin Mary. It is visited by many pilgrims who pray for healing, for themselves or for others. (See photo with displays)
